Southwestern Collier County in southwestern Florida…
* Until 730 PM EDT.
* At 434 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of heavy showers and
embedded thunderstorms will be moving into the Marco Island area
from the Gulf of Mexico. These showers and thunderstorms will be
training over the area for couple of hours. Rainfall amounts
between 1 to 3 inches are possible with these heavy showers and
thunderstorms during the next couple of hours which could lead to
some minor flooding in the low lying and poorly drainage areas. If
the rainfall amounts increase more than forecasted, then a flash
flood warning may be needed for this area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…

and Key Marco.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely. You can also send flood reports to NWS Miami on
Facebook and Twitter.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
